Double Spur Outfitters operates from Star Tannery in northern Virginia, running guided and semi-guided hunts across more private and public land than any other outfitter in the region. Owner Levi Pitcock founded the business in 2013 with 20+ years of hunting experience. He holds exclusive licensing from George Washington National Forest—the only outfitter with that access—and leases or owns tracts across Haymarket, Middleburg, Fort Valley, and surrounding counties.
- •Location matters here. You're 2 hours west of Washington DC and 1.5 hours from Dulles International Airport. This is legitimate Shenandoah Valley terrain: fertile farmland, timbered draws, open pastures, creek bottoms with White Oaks, cedar thickets. The variety produces quality deer and turkeys.

They spend all year scouting using trail cameras and field observation to track deer patterns. They install hundreds of acres of spring and fall food plots annually—strategically placed so bucks feel comfortable during daylight. They want hunters pursuing mature 2.5-3.5 year old bucks.

Muzzleloader and rifle hunts run during the rut (early November). Semi-guided hunts include lodging in cabins sleeping 4-6 hunters. You're shown stands the evening before, then hunt on your own schedule. They assist with game retrieval.

Fully-guided hunts use private land. Guides scout properties to find the best setup for your dates. They prefer run-and-gun style but have blinds for rainy weather and hunters with limited mobility. Self-guided hunts occur on national forest land and include lodging.
Double Spur controls 4 miles of private trout water on Cedar Creek. The creek is stocked with rainbow trout (1.5-6 lbs).

Trips include beverages/snacks (half day) or bagged lunch (full day). Guides meet you at the pavilion, go over the plan, check gear. The day is designed with you in mind—stop for photos, watch fish feed, adjust speed and sections based on conditions and fishing style.

Three pine wood cabins designed for relaxation and nature.
- •The Brook Cabin: Sits directly on Cedar Creek with a back deck overlooking the stream. 1 separate bedroom (queen), upstairs loft (queen + full), downstairs bunk bed.
- •The Rainbow Cabin: Open field with valley and horse pen views. Same bed configuration as Brook Cabin.
- •The Brown Cabin: Open field with valley and horse pen views. Same bed configuration.

The Bluffs at Cedar Creek offers 5 stream-side RV camping sites. - Sites 1-2: 30/50 amp hookups - Sites 3-4: 30 amp hookups - Site 5: 50 amp hookup
All sites have water and electric. Book camping through The Bluffs; book fishing through Double Spur. Camping reservation ≠ creek access.
