D3 Research LLC operates as a small gunsmithing shop focused on two core services: custom firearm coatings and gunsmithing work. They handle everything from performance modifications to restoration of older firearms, plus private transfers and experimental R&D projects.

D3 works directly with you to design and apply custom finishes that transform your firearm. The process includes:

• •Full disassembly (included in pricing)
• •Complete stripping of original finish (Type III anodized is etched during sandblasting)
• •Custom coating application
• •Reassembly with function verification

Lifetime warranty on pealing and cracking – they take precautions to ensure coating doesn't impact functionality

• •Performance enhancements and modifications
• •Firearm repair and restoration
• •Refinishing and restoration work
• •Mechanical troubleshooting
• •Private owner transfers
• •R&D and experimental projects

• •Note: D3 does not work on 80% receivers (must be finished before coating) or full-auto modifications.

Normal turnaround time is within one month of receiving your work order. If delays are expected, they'll contact you beforehand. Parts orders may extend timeline.

For coating work: lifetime warranty on pealing and cracking. All work requires liability waiver signature due to variables outside their control, but they're committed to making things right if issues arise.
