Full description and what we offer
Gig Harbor Sportsman's Club operates as a volunteer-run facility dedicated to shooting sports in Pierce County. The club maintains dedicated ranges for rifle and pistol shooting, trap and 5-stand shotgun sports, and archery—giving members the flexibility to practice multiple disciplines without traveling between locations.
The club's foundation is built on three core principles: firearms safety, skills development, and conservation stewardship. This isn't just about having a place to shoot—it's about creating an environment where shooters improve their fundamentals, understand safe handling, and understand their role in preserving outdoor spaces.
The volunteer-run model means real shooters are running the operation. You get instruction and mentorship from people who actually use these ranges themselves.
Gig Harbor Sportsman's Club welcomes both newcomers and experienced shooters. Whether you're picking up a gun for the first time or refining precision rifle skills, the club maintains an educational atmosphere that works for all experience levels.
Located in Gig Harbor, WA – Just south of Tacoma and northwest of Seattle, accessible via Highway 16. Easy drive from the Seattle metro area and the Olympic Peninsula.

Beyond the ranges themselves, the club emphasizes environmental stewardship and conservation. This reflects a broader commitment to preserving access to outdoor shooting sports while respecting the natural spaces these activities depend on.
The volunteer structure also creates a different member experience than commercial ranges. You're part of a community of shooters maintaining and improving the facility together, not just renting lane time.
