Hawkins Custom Rifle Stocks handles the detailed modifications that turn a good rifle into one that shoots tight. Jim Hawkins operates out of Tacoma and works by appointment, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, with weekend slots available.
Bedding & Inletting - Glass bedding of barreled actions (standard or pillar bedding) - Precision inletting into wood, laminated, or synthetic stocks - M1 Garand and M1-A work (field teardown required before delivery) - Floor plate inletting and drop bottom metal installations
Recoil Management - Recoil pad supply and installation (Pachmayer Decelerator and clay pads) - Mercury tube and hydraulic recoil reducers - Adjustable butt stock hardware and cheek piece installations - Stock length of pull adjustments
Tactical & Competition - Full-length and modular tactical rail installation - Swivel stud and QD base mounting - Harris bi-pod recessed stud work
