Full description and what we offer
West Seattle Sportsmen's Club is a longstanding institution established in 1934, serving Seattle and surrounding communities with world-class shooting sports facilities and education programs.
The club operates the Roger Dahl Shooting Range, an eight-position, 50-foot indoor small bore and air rifle range located conveniently under West Seattle Stadium near the West Seattle Bridge. This climate-controlled facility is ideal for year-round competitive shooting and training.
Members and visitors can participate in:
The West Seattle Totems Junior Rifle Team is a hallmark of the club, competing at local, regional, and national levels. This elite program provides top-notch coaching, teaches responsible firearm handling, and has helped numerous juniors earn college scholarships. Junior membership is just $45 annually, with all proceeds funding the shooting program.
Safety is the club's highest priority. NRA-trained and certified Range Masters are onsite during all operations to ensure proper firearm handling and provide instruction to newcomers. The range maintains strict lead mitigation policies and procedures, ensuring a clean, safe shooting environment.
Adult membership is $60 annually (pro-rated by quarter for new members). The club also offers public range access on Mondays for $10 adults / $5 juniors and members. All new members must be voted in at monthly membership meetings. Free cable gun locks are available while supplies last.
Beyond shooting sports, WSSC hosts fishing and hunting trips, campouts, food events, special guest speakers, and community service activities including the annual free Kids Fishing Event at Seacrest Park.
