Prestige Pawn Shop started in 1983 as a coin and gold jewelry store in the Weirton Shopping Plaza. By 1991, they added firearms and electronics and became a full pawnshop. A second location opened in Chester, WV in 1995. In 2013, the original Weirton store relocated to a larger facility on Potomac Ave with expanded showroom and storage.

Today they're one of the oldest pawn and gold buying operations in the region, regulated by the State of West Virginia and operating under strict federal, state, and local firearms laws.

As a licensed Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL), Prestige Pawn Shop handles:

• •Handgun sales (West Virginia residents, 21+, with federal background check)
• •Long gun sales (any state resident, 18+, with federal background check)
• •Out-of-state transfers (order firearms and have them shipped to either location)
• •Transfer fees apply for firearms purchased elsewhere

All transactions strictly abide by federal, state, and local law enforcement requirements. Requirements subject to change per West Virginia regulations.

Item values are assessed based on age, working condition, cosmetic appearance, missing parts or documentation, and consumer demand.

If you're borrowing against items:

1. Valid government-issued ID required 2. After 30 days, you can either: - Make a "service charge only" payment to continue the loan - Redeem the full loan and retrieve items 3. If you don't extend or pick up within 30 days, the pawnshop takes ownership and items go for sale
