Putnam County Gun Club

Putnam County Gun Club is a membership-based shooting club in Putnam County, West Virginia, built around a smallbore rifle range and a Junior Rifle Team program for young shooters.

The smallbore range adjoins a pavilion used by spectators during matches. Range improvements have been funded in part through NRA and Friends of the NRA grants, including a concrete accessibility pad connecting the smallbore range and pavilion, plus rimfire target equipment. The club has also upgraded several of its rifle bays and installed a keypad-controlled entry gate for members.

The club hosts NRA Youth Smallbore matches and NRA Precision Pistol matches, and holds an annual Youth Day for young shooters. A scholarship program, the Gene Richmond Scholarship, supports members and their families.
