Blue Hills Sportsmen's Club has operated continuously since 1954 as a community hub for shooters, hunters, and outdoor enthusiasts in Barron County. Located about 9 miles southeast of Rice Lake at 1604 23 24 1/2 St, the club spans 160 acres with dedicated facilities for multiple shooting disciplines.

Summer Shooting Schedule (May through September)
The club hosts monthly registered Cast Bullet Association matches, plus regular competitions in: - Cast Bullet Matches – Benchrest and military rifle competitions with multiple classifications (Hunter, Production, Heavy, Unrestricted) - Battle Rifle Shoots – $5 per 24-round course, using B27 silhouette targets at 300 yards with military-era rifles - 300 Yard Challenge – Long-range precision competition - Pistol Events – Including Tactical Pistol and pistol benchrest competitions - Trap & Skeet – Clay target shooting matches - Tactical Rifle/Pistol – Mixed discipline shooting events - 5-Stand – Winter 5-stand shooting begins first Sunday in December
National records have been set at BHSC: Hunter class 100-yard 10-shot group (2018), Hunter class 200-yard 5-shot group (2019), and Big Bore 40-shot standing (2018).
Special Events Throughout the Year - Fallen Hero Memorial Trap Shoot - Boy Scouts of America "Clay Shoot for Scouting" - Annual Winter Gun Banquet
Members can participate in postal matches for handguns, lever rifles, break-action rifles/handguns, military rifles and carbines, and all CBA rifle classes. You shoot targets at your own range on your schedule, then submit them for scoring. The club provides cast bullets to members who want to try them without doing their own casting. There's also a solution for shooters with .32 Rimfire firearms – reloadable 32 rimfire ammunition.
Blue Hills is home to the Blue Hills Shooting Stars Youth Trap, Pistol/Rifle Team. Youth athletes compete in state and national tournaments every year, representing both the club and the community.
The club is managed by a 6-person Board of Directors elected from active membership. The board and general membership meet on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 P.M. in the clubhouse. Special committees coordinate shooting sport activities and events.

Founded in 1954 by 10 directors with a commitment to sportsmanship and land stewardship, Blue Hills promotes responsible hunting practices and conservation of natural resources. The club engages in educational programs, conservation initiatives, and community charitable activities.
Blue Hills works with: - Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) – Members have the opportunity to purchase firearms with historical significance through this partnership - Access Ability Wisconsin – Community partnership program - Cast Bullet Association Region 4 – Hosts registered tournaments
