Halter Wildlife Inc. traces its roots to 1955, when Ed Halter founded Pheasant Valley Club on land once hunted by Potawatomi Indians and French trappers in the 1700s. The operation became legendary—Ed bred six duck species to create what's now known as "Halter's Golden Mallard." When Ed passed in 1980, the club was renamed in his honor.
Members access approximately 1,000 acres of unspoiled Wisconsin land featuring:
"A place where we could go to enjoy nature" - Ed Halter's vision, still the club's mission
Established alongside the club in 1955, Twin Willow Kennels specializes in hunting dog training and boarding. Al Benson has managed the operation for 36+ years and trained more than 400 dogs using customized, straightforward techniques. Year-round boarding also available.
The property enforces strict safety protocols: - Orange required on body and head for all hunters - Safety glasses and ear protection strongly advised - Speed limit enforcement to protect dogs and hunters on property
Address: 9626 113th St., Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158 Phone: (262) 697-0070
