Wisconsin Gun Class - South Milwaukee is where you go when you're ready to get your concealed weapons license (CWL). Unlike online-only courses, this is in-person instruction taught by people who actually know firearms and Wisconsin law.
The curriculum covers six major areas:
Personal Protection & Awareness - How violent crime actually happens - Situational awareness and conflict avoidance - Home defense planning - Understanding physiological responses to stress
Handgun Operation & Safety - Four universal safety rules - How to clear different handgun types - Double-action vs. single-action mechanics - Ammunition malfunction recognition - Proper handgun selection for your needs
Shooting Fundamentals - Proper grip and stance - Sight alignment and trigger control - Flash sight picture technique - Point shooting and sight shooting methods
Legal & Ethical Responsibility - Legal definitions of reasonable force and deadly force - The force continuum - When deadly force is legally justified - Defense in the home vs. defending property - What happens immediately after using force - How to interact with police
Gear & Equipment - Holster retention levels explained - Types of holsters for different carry methods - Secure storage practices - Lights, lasers, and belts for concealed carry
Wisconsin Carry Law - Specific state regulations you need to follow - Reciprocity in 35 other states - Licensing requirements and renewal process
Richard Schimenti teaches all classes. He's: - US Concealed Carry Association Certified Instructor - NRA Certified Pistol Instructor - NRA Certified Personal Protection in the Home Instructor - Holds a degree in Criminal Justice - Has trained over 10,000 concealed carry students personally
Wisconsin's online rule: Online courses don't satisfy Wisconsin's training requirement. You must attend in-person instruction—this is the legal requirement, not a company preference.

Real Talk: "Carrying a loaded gun is not meant to bring some excitement into your life. When you carry a concealed handgun, you take on an extra burden and a significant responsibility to yourself, your family and your community. You will be held to a higher standard of conduct."
You can't learn trigger control from a video. You can't practice proper stance through a computer screen. And you can't ask an online course instructor what Wisconsin law actually means in a specific scenario. This class is taught by someone who knows handguns, knows Wisconsin law, and has trained thousands of permit holders.
