Why People Hunt With Said Creek Outfitters

"Joe and Traci were phenomenal guides and hosts. Not only did Joe quickly fill my elk tag, they also invited us over for a fantastic dinner at their house. I would highly recommend them." – Michael S., recent client

  • One-on-one attention. Group size is capped at four hunters maximum with a 1:1 or 1-guide-for-2-hunters ratio. No cattle-drive hunting.
  • Year-round support. Joe tracks your preference points, reminds you of deadlines, and helps with strategy. Many clients return year after year and stay connected to the "Said Creek Outfitters family."
  • Expert local knowledge. Joe knows Wyoming's tag system, the backcountry around Dubois, and where the animals move. At age 80+, one client trusted him enough to book a second hunt and took a large 6x6 both times.
  • Front-country comfort with wilderness hunting. You get the full mountain experience—but return each night to a warm bed and Traci's cooking. Recent clients praised her "gourmet meals" and "chocolate chip muffins for breakfast."
  • Community atmosphere. Hunters sometimes overlap a night or two at the ranch, and sharing stories around the table is often a hunt highlight.
