Full description and what we offer
Crandall Creek Outfitters began when Mickie Fischer and the late Bruce Hillard founded the operation in 1991, building on Bruce's Eagle Creek Outfitters foundation dating to 1984. Corey Fischer started guiding in 1993 and took over as outfitter in 1998. The operation is now owned by Mickie, Arlene, and Corey Fischer.
They run multiple camps to match different game and seasons:
Small groups = better experience. They cap groups at six hunters in camp at one time and own/train all their own livestock.
Crandall Creek takes fair-chase hunting seriously. Their wounding policy is straightforward: if an animal is wounded, they'll spend whatever time it takes to recover it. If recovery fails, the hunt for that species ends—no pursuing another animal on that license. They've maintained very few unrecovered woundings in recent years and ask hunters to show up prepared and in shape to help minimize incidents.
They track Wyoming Game and Fish deadlines and special license opportunities:
| Species | Nonresident Deadline |
|---|---|
| Elk | January 31st |
| Sheep, Moose, Goat | February 28th |
| Deer, Antelope | March 15th |
They can help with Commissioner's and Governor's tags (auctioned/raffled) and watch for leftover licenses during the second draw (July 10-20).
