Great Plains Outfitters is a full-time Wyoming outfitting company with deep roots in the state's hunting culture. Founded on the principle of quality hunts for quality people, the operation runs both public land hunts across Wyoming's millions of National Forest acres and private land hunts on some of the West's best whitetail and mule deer habitat.
Director Dirk brings over 40 years of mountain lion hunting experience and personally guides trophy bull elk hunts in units he lives in year-round.
Every hunt comes with: - Professional guide (one guide for two hunters; one-on-one available) - Full accommodations and meals - Transportation during the hunt - Trophy and meat care
Big Game: - Mountain lion (the outfit's specialty) - Trophy bull elk (premium Wyoming units) - Mule deer (spot and stalk with pre-hunt scouting) - Whitetail deer (high success rate) - Antelope (millions of BLM and private acres) - Black bear (May and June hunts) - Bighorn sheep (draw tag hunts)
Director Dirk personally consults on unit selection and timing for elk hunts based on current conditions and trophy potential.
Hunting Ground: Public land hunts use Wyoming's extensive National Forest system. Private land hunts focus on proven whitetail and mule deer habitat across the region.
Based in Sheridan, Wyoming. Open 9am-5pm.
