Sheridan County Sportsmen`s Association

Sheridan County Sportsmen's Association operates a full shooting complex at 89 Keystone Road in Sheridan, Wyoming. The facility includes:

• •Archery Range - dedicated archery shooting
• •General Use Rifle and Pistol Ranges - open dawn to dusk, 365 days a year
• •Indoor Range - seasonal operation (Sundays 10am-4pm, November through March)
• •Long Range - for precision rifle work
• •Pistol Pit Complex - dedicated pistol training area
• •Trap Range - clay target shooting
• •Skeet Range - skeet and 5-stand shooting
• •Buffalo Gun Range - large-caliber rifle shooting
• •Muzzleloader Range - black powder and historical firearms

Controlled ranges (Long Range, Buffalo Gun, Muzzleloader, and Pistol Pit) operate only when an authorized Range Safety Officer or Range Opener is present.

Annual memberships cost $100 and include year-round access to general use ranges. Day passes are available for $20 at:

• •SCSA Caretaker's House (90 Keystone Road)
• •SCSA Clubhouse (89 Keystone Road)

Non-members can use the Indoor, Trap, and Skeet ranges for a daily fee when an RSO is present. Junior memberships are $10, and Life Memberships ($1,000) are available in limited numbers through the caretaker.

SCSA offers safety-focused classes including:

• •Basic Pistol Class - satisfies Wyoming concealed carry permit requirements
• •Youth Activities - junior shooting programs
• •Women's Shooting Activities - dedicated women's events
• •Small Bore Rifle - rimfire training
• •Handgun Activities - pistol-focused instruction

The club hosts multiple competitive opportunities:

• •Good fellowship among members

Guests of members can visit once (non-member day fees waived) with an SCSA Minor or Adult Guest Waiver completed in advance.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, SCSA operates entirely on volunteer effort. Members are encouraged to attend:

• •Annual Meeting - typically held in January with free spaghetti dinner, officer elections, and membership votes
• •Monthly Executive Committee Meetings - third Tuesday of each month at 7 PM, open to all members

Every user must read and understand SCSA Rules and Regulations and Standard Operating Procedures before using facilities. SOPs exist for each range type: general use rifle/pistol, indoor, pistol pit, long range, buffalo gun, trap, skeet/5-stand, and archery. All users must complete required waivers and log-in sheets.
