Full description and what we offer
Imperial Powder Coating has been finishing firearms and industrial components since 2012 from their 851 Frank St. location in Sheridan, Wyoming. Owner Nate Barney and his team—Austin Johnson (Shop Lead), Gavin Jarvis, and Dalton Johnson—handle everything from one-off restoration projects to production-scale coating jobs.
Firearms Cerakote Application Their certified applicators apply Cerakote finishes with factory-trained precision. They work with both air-cure and oven-cure formulas, so they can coat delicate optics and temperature-sensitive parts without damage. You can choose from patterns and styles to customize your firearm's appearance while adding protection against wear and corrosion.
High-Temperature Cerakote If you're coating barrels, headers, exhaust systems, or turbo housings, their high-temp Cerakote withstands up to 2,000 degrees and creates a thermal barrier to keep components cool. This isn't just firearms work—they coat motorsports equipment and industrial machinery.
General Powder Coating Beyond firearms, they offer standard powder coating in over 500 colors and finishes. Their 8'×8'×20' curing oven and batch system mean they can handle single-piece keepsakes or thousands of identical components. Powder coating lasts longer than liquid paint and handles industrial abuse better.
Sandblasting They prep surfaces before coating with sandblasting services to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality.
Imperial Powder Coating doesn't operate like a large shop that treats customers like purchase orders, or a small shop that can't scale. They handle the full spectrum.
Scaling That Actually Works Most coating shops either can't grow past small jobs or lose quality when they do. Imperial's setup lets them take 1,000-piece production runs without cutting corners on the single rifle restoration sitting next to it.
Attentive Excellence Their team cares about the integrity of every piece. Whether it's a precious heirloom firearm or critical machinery, they work with unmatched attention to detail. Personalized care means they integrate with customers to understand specific needs and tailor processes accordingly.
Purposeful Creativity No two coating jobs are identical. Their shop approaches custom problems with critical thinking, flexibility, and innovation to deliver results beyond the standard.
