Full description and what we offer
Sweetwater Outfitters operates one of Wyoming's most established hunting operations, with four decades of consistent success across mule deer, elk, and pronghorn antelope hunts. The outfit hunts over 250,000 acres of pristine Wyoming territory—exclusively private land and exclusive state leases—avoiding crowded BLM areas.
Unlike competitors who spend all day driving back roads, Sweetwater's owner is a licensed bush pilot and the only outfitter in Wyoming with an experienced high-altitude bush pilot on staff. This means:
The Wyoming Game & Fish Department actually contracts Sweetwater's flying services for their own aerial surveys and game counts.
| Game Animal | Success Rate | Trophy Quality | Season Dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mule Deer | 97-100% | 24-34" spreads, 4-8 points/side | Oct 1-31 (rifle); Sept 1-30 (archery) |
| Pronghorn Antelope | 97-100% | 73-85 points, 13-16.5" horns | Sept 10-Nov 7 (rifle); Aug 15-Sept 30 (archery) |
| Elk (Wapiti) | 88.8% | 300-398 points, 5-6 points/side | Oct 1-31 (rifle); Sept 1-30 (archery) |
Wyoming's Casper area holds three-quarters of the entire world's pronghorn population within a 125-mile radius—giving clients multiple trophy-quality bucks to choose from.
All guides are WSBOPG certified (Wyoming State Board of Outfitters & Professional Guides), licensed, and trained in wilderness survival and first aid. The team includes:
Unlike some operations, Sweetwater maintains 100% ownership and operational control—you'll never be guided by someone who just bought into the business.
