Full description and what we offer
Tangle Ridge Outfitters & Guides, run by Brent and Becky Sorensen, operates as a licensed, full-time outfitting business from Greybull, Wyoming. This isn't a seasonal side hustle—it's their life. They hunt their areas 95% of the year, which means they know the terrain, the animals, and the habits of every species they guide.
"The way hunting ought to be" — that's their actual motto, and it shows in how they operate.
They run hunts for:
Lion hunting with trained hounds using GPS tracking collars. Hunts operate as town hunts—lodging and meals on your own, but guides pick you up/drop off daily. Lunches, snacks, and drinks provided in field. Success depends on snow cover, but when conditions are right, results have been strong. Female cats run 80–110 pounds; toms reach 130–180 pounds. Non-resident tag: $373 (over-the-counter).
Rugged horseback camps on private and BLM land. Tents equipped with wood stoves, cots, lighting. Home-style meals from camp cook. October 15–24 season. You arrive/pack in day before hunt, pack out day after.
Spot-and-stalk hunting from a comfortable camp just outside high country. Multiple hunting areas, open slopes, ridges, classic fall conditions.
30,000 acres in northeast Wyoming. Mule deer or whitetail. Bucks average 150–160 inches, some much larger. Town hunt (lodging/meals not included, but partnership with five-star lodge available). Season October 1–15. Can add antelope for $1,750 (combo hunt). Tag prices: Special $1,215, Full $389, Youth $125.
Areas 42 and 1 in Big Horns are 2nd and 3rd best moose units in Wyoming. Drawing takes preference points (25+ in recent years), but the quality is worth the wait. They know the habits because they hunt the area year-round.

They attend sports shows, meet clients face-to-face, and handle info requests directly. No faceless booking agents—you talk to the people who'll actually guide your hunt.
They're upfront about challenges (2025 was a tough year with unexpected changes) and honest about what it takes to hunt in Wyoming—preference points, draw strategy, physical demands, shot distances. Their testimonials and trophy galleries show seasons dating back to 2021, with detailed photos and videos (especially from mountain lion hunts).
