Full description and what we offer
Timbor Canyon Ranch Outfitting has been running hunts on their private property since 1991. They work 15,000 acres of their own land in southeast Wyoming, offering rifle and archery hunts for antelope, mule deer, and bull elk. Every hunt is fully guided by a licensed guide who knows the area and the species.
Most of the terrain is accessible by 4×4 vehicles, so you're spotting and glassing from the rig, then closing distance on foot for the stalk. No long pack-ins or multi-day expeditions from camp. For archery, they use blinds at waterholes with spot-and-stalk tactics. During elk season, they call bugling bulls in the early rut and hunt scattered groups as the season progresses.
Bunkhouse hunts put you up on the ranch property with home-cooked breakfast and dinner at the ranch house, plus a sack lunch in the field each day.
Town hunts base you at a Laramie motel of your choice (you cover your own breakfast and dinner), with the outfitter providing sack lunches, transportation, and a short 30-minute drive to the hunting property.
After a successful harvest, they field dress the animal, get it to the cooler, and help arrange transport to local meat processors or taxidermists. They'll cape and quarter if you need it.
| Hunt | Seasons | Draw Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Antelope (Bunkhouse) | Rifle: Oct 5-31 / Archery: Aug 15+ | 4-5 preference points |
| Antelope (Town) | Rifle: Oct 5-31 / Archery: Aug 15+ | 3-5 preference points |
| Mule Deer | Rifle: Oct 20-31 / Archery: Sept 1+ | Apply by May 31 |
| Bull Elk | Rifle: Oct 1-31 / Archery: Sept 1+ | Apply by Jan 31 |
Mule deer hunts demand fitness and patience—lots of glassing, hiking, and binoculars. Free time includes fishing in their trout ponds. Bull elk hunts let you see plenty of animals regardless of season timing, with the early rut offering calling opportunities.
Licensed Wyoming outfitter (License #BG-110) with references available.
