Full description and what we offer
WyoCat Outfitters is a veteran-owned hunting outfitter run by Jim Berryman, who has been hunting Wyoming wildlife for nearly 20 years. They specialize in three core hunts across central Wyoming's backcountry—mountain lion, antelope, and elk—with a focus on ethical practices and hunter success.
Mountain Lion Hunts (October-April, peak snow season) - Over-the-counter tags ($373 nonresident license + $21.50 conservation stamp) - Early morning starts with track hunting via 4WD pickups, UTVs, or snow machines - Hounds locate and tree lions; guides determine trophy quality and assist with dispatch - Field processing and transport to taxidermist or processor included
Antelope & Elk Hunts - Hotel pickup and drop-off included - Lunch, snacks, and bottled water provided - Guides glass for game from vehicles, then stalk within 300 yards or less - Pre-hunt rifle sighting-in available - Archery available for elk and mountain lions - Field processing and transport included
Elevation Range: 6,500' to 10,000' with typical walking from 100 yards to 2 miles. Expect a mix of vehicle time and glassing.
All WyoCat guides are trained shooters. Firearms can be furnished if needed, though guides bring shooting support systems. Hunter orange required (provided if necessary). Proof of hunter safety course required unless exempted (active-duty military—call for details).
Synthetic or wool clothing recommended. Light pack with survival essentials (fire starter, spare socks, rain gear, jacket, snacks, water) recommended. Phone service is "decent to spotty" depending on provider.
Bookings are personalized and tailored to your preferences. Submit a deposit to secure dates. No smoking in vehicles; alcohol saved for after the hunt. WyoCat accommodates hunters of any age or health condition, though top physical condition is recommended.
