Bates Farm operates dual archery ranges on 343 Conway Road in Decatur, AL—one of the region's most active facilities for competitive and recreational archers. As a certified ASA club (ASA #BF3AL), they host state qualifiers, tournaments, and provide tournament qualifying opportunities for both 3D and indoor competitions.

Indoor Archery Range - Open 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 7 days a week - 10-target indoor course with 6 regulation 4ft x 4ft targets - Targets adjustable up to 25 yards, accommodates 12 simultaneous shooters - 3D targets: $1 per arrow - Dot bales: $15/day solo, $5/day with 20-round 3D round

Outdoor 3D Range - Open 8:00 AM - Dusk, 7 days a week - 20-target Delta McKenzie course set in wooded terrain - Children under 12 shoot free - Pricing varies by round (check calendar for current rates)

Kids Archery Club (Ages 5+) - Spring session: March 16 - May 18, 2026 - Two age groups: 5-11 years and 12+ years - Maximum 10 kids per class, minimum 4 to start - Cost: $10/child per session (10% discount for full 10-week session) - Beginner class: 1:30-2:30 PM • Intermediate: 10:00-11:00 AM - Topics covered: Range safety, target types, 3D scoring, bow anatomy, shooting techniques - Tournament opportunity: Special homeschool tournament on May 18th - 50% range fee discount for club members on practice days

Private Lessons - $25 per hour plus equipment rental - One-on-one instruction available
