Gunsite Academy

Gunsite Academy teaches responsible, safe, and effective use of firearms for self-defense. Founded on principles established by Lt. Col. Jeff Cooper, the academy offers systematic firearms training to elite military personnel, law enforcement officers, and civilian shooters.

This isn't casual range time—it's structured, intensive training where safety remains paramount. Every certificate is graded, and instruction focuses on the Modern Technique of firearms handling.

Pistol Training - 150 Basic Pistol (3-day introduction) - 250 Defensive Pistol (5-day intensive) - 350 Intermediate Pistol - 499 Advanced Pistol - Ladies-specific 150 and 350 courses - CCW permit classes - Optics and night vision variants

Rifle & Carbine - 223 Defensive Carbine - 270 General Rifle - 556 Advanced Carbine - Precision Rifle (7 and advanced levels) - Xtreme Long Range Rifle - AK-47 Operator and Armorer courses - Battle Rifle instruction

Shotgun - 260 Defensive Shotgun (Modern Technique applied) - Advanced tactical shotgun problems - 3-Gun combinations

Youth classes (pistol, rifle, advanced pistol), Seasoned Citizen courses adapted for older shooters, and Gunsite Performance Center introductory and intermediate programs. Private instruction available.

Gunsite travels nationwide with offsite classes in Indiana, Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee. They also host annual events including the 50th Anniversary (2026), Pat Rogers Memorial Revolver Round-Up, and Calams Combat Competition.
