Firing Line

Firing Line LLC, established in 2014, operates clay target shooting events and instruction at the Ben Avery Clay Target Center in north Phoenix. The operation is run by Dr. Gary McCraw, a master-class sporting clays shooter with years of experience as a Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) coach.

Corporate & Group Events - Events accommodate groups up to large participant counts - Team building, bachelor/bachelorette parties, company outings, church functions, youth programs - Family and out-of-town guest activities - 50 clay targets per shooter (standard), other options available

Complete Event Packages Include: - Shotgun rental - Ammunition - Clay targets - Eye and ear protection - Bottled water - Safety instructors on site

Shooting Lessons - One-on-one or two-person lessons - 1-2 hour sessions typical - Beginner through expert level instruction - Substantial discounts for new shooters

Course Types Available: - Sporting Clays - Trap - Skeet - Five Stand - Themed courses (Quail, Roadrunner, Coyote, Rattlesnake)

Firing Line coordinated major upgrades to the sporting clays courses at Ben Avery Clay Target Center during summer 2023. They continue to prioritize improvements for clay shooters.
