Bay Area Tactical Group was founded on a straightforward premise: the Bay Area faces real security challenges. FBI data shows violent and property crimes steadily increasing across the region's major cities. With tech-driven wealth creating more targets and local crime penalties softened, BATG saw a need for professional defensive training.

Every instructor at BATG is NRA certified. More importantly, they come from distinguished military and law enforcement backgrounds—not just range enthusiasts. That matters when you're learning tactics that might actually save your life.

• •Introductory courses: Pistol, rifle (AR-15/PCC), and shotgun fundamentals with firearm safety
• •CCW certification: 16-hour Initial California CCW Course ($400) and 8-hour Renewal ($200) — they're Bay Area's official CCW vendor, SB2 compliant
• •Intermediate & advanced pistol: Ownership methods, alternative shooting techniques, holster work, draw-stroke precision
• •Defensive pistol: Dynamic movement and real-world scenarios
• •Tactical training: State-of-the-art simulator work plus practical application in a shoothouse

BAT's mission goes deeper than certification. They focus on teaching responsibility, safety, and de-escalation tactics—the idea being that knowing when and how to avoid conflict is as important as knowing how to use a firearm.
