Liberty Archery manufactures the Liberty I compound bow—a radically compact hunting bow that defies conventional bow design. At under 2 feet from top to bottom with a 20.5" axle-to-axle measurement, it attaches to a backpack. Yet this micro bow punches above its weight class.
| Spec | Liberty I |
|---|---|
| Weight (loaded) | 2.5 lbs |
| Axle-to-Axle | 20.5" |
| Speed | 338+ fps |
| Full Draw Holding | 9 lbs on 65 lb bow (85% let-off) |
| Straightness (arrows) | ±0.001" |
Most bow manufacturers cut corners with modular cams. Liberty went the opposite direction: 22 completely redesigned cams—one for every half-inch of draw length. This eliminates the accuracy compromises that come with one-size-fits-all cam design. The large cams also deliver an unexpected benefit: extreme leverage that crushes holding weight while maintaining speed.
95.65% Trial Conversion Rate — Nearly all customers who order keep the bow. 20-day trial includes everything: sight, arrow rest, silencer kit, release, case, and arrows. Ships in 2 days.
Liberty manufactures its own arrows and sells them at $159/dozen. These are not standard arrows.
Unlike other bows, the Liberty I allows arrows as light as 4 grains/lb (vs. 5 grain/lb minimum on competitors). A 60 lb Liberty shoots a 240-grain arrow. A conventional 60 lb bow requires 300+ grains. Light arrows mean:
Arrow Rests & Sight Packages - Hostage or Whisker Biscuit arrow rest (installed, factory-tuned): $41 - 3-pin or 5-pin sight with fiber optics: $39-$99 - Liberty 5.9 oz lightweight sight (modified to fit): saves 1.5 oz vs. standard sights
Broadheads & Cutting Systems - NEW 75-grain Liberty broadheads: 40% more cutting surface than mechanical heads, 30° cutting angle, $29/6-pack with 12 spare blades - Ulmer Edge mechanical heads (100 gr): innovative blade pivot system for pass-throughs - Practice mode allows target shooting without blade damage
Releases & Tools - TRU-Ball Copperhead Xtra caliper release (required): hardened stainless jaws, lifetime warranty. Only reliable caliper release design with valid patents - String Changer bow tool: eliminates need for bow press, $7
Arrow Shafts (DIY Option) - Pre-cut shafts with nocks, rings, point inserts: $8/dozen (100 or 75 gr) - E-Z Pro Fletcher: $49 - Blazer vanes, Goat Tuff glue, and broadhead points in stock - Independence: Arrow manufacturers recommend fletching your own arrows instead of paying shop labor
Carry & Storage - Small aluminum case (26.75" x 16" x 6.25"): 8 lbs empty, fits airline carry-on (under 50" limit), $149 - Padded Cordura soft case: $39

The Liberty I was engineered for hunters who need maximum portability without sacrificing lethality. Key design decisions:
Liberty commissioned a physiology consultant to measure human energy consumption. Result: Shooting a 70 lb Liberty I (with 85% let-off) consumes the same energy as shooting a conventional 60.56 lb bow. This means less fatigue, steadier aim, longer range sessions, and ability to hold at full draw longer while waiting for a clear shot.
