The Livermore-Pleasanton Rod & Gun Club operates one of Northern California's most complete shooting facilities. Located just north of I-580 in Livermore, the club sits on 54 acres and welcomes members, guests, and visitors to shoot shotgun, rifle, or pistol in a family-friendly environment.
Rifle & Pistol Range - Open to all shooters with proper credentials - Modern facilities with safe shooting benches - Only bullseye-type targets permitted (no silhouette, zombie, or animal targets) - Eye and ear protection required for all shooters and spectators - Firearms must remain cased except when on shooting benches with barrels pointing downrange - No concealed or open carry allowed on range - No holster draws permitted
Trap Range - 9 voice-activated trap fields with lighting for night shooting - Doubles and Continental (wobble) trap available - Only target loads with shot sizes 7½, 8, and 9 permitted - 12-gauge shotgun shells available for purchase at the range - Ammunition belt or shell pouch required (no retrieving shells from ground boxes) - No buckshot or magnum shells allowed

Per-Round Fees: - Regular Trap: Members $8, Non-members $11 - Range office closes 30 minutes before range closes - Cash, credit/debit, and mobile wallets accepted
NRA-certified Range Safety Officers staff the ranges during operating hours. Many RSOs are also trained in First Aid, CPR, and AED. The club emphasizes safety through required waivers and mandatory videos before first use.
First-time shooters: Complete the online waiver before arriving to save time. You'll need valid ID (passport, driver's license, California ID, hunting license, or green card) to shoot.
Membership costs $200 initiation plus $200 annual dues. Members shoot at reduced rates and get event notifications through the monthly newsletter.
The club hosts: - Annual May Barbecue: Open to public, features steak dinner, shooting competitions, raffles, and kids' entertainment (largest fundraiser) - Thursday Night Trap League (Fall 2025) - Fall Rifle League (2025) - Merchandise Shoots: Seasonal competitions where winners receive bacon, ham, turkey, or other meats - Monthly Board Meetings: Third Monday of each month at 7 PM (all members and guests welcome)
Children under 6 are not permitted on any range. Specific age-related firearm restrictions apply at rifle/pistol ranges.
Limited spectators allowed with no range fee, but they must wear eye and ear protection at all times (except during cease-fire) and cannot approach shooting benches.

Easy access from most of the Bay Area via I-580/I-680 interchange. From I-580, exit at North Livermore Avenue, travel north 2.6 miles to May School Road, then east 1.2 miles to Dagnino Road.
