PG Firearms Training is led by Paul Grossman, a Denver-area police sergeant with over two decades of law enforcement experience. Since 2009, Grossman has been delivering firearms and tactical instruction grounded in actual high-pressure scenarios—not just classroom theory. He currently serves as a police academy instructor and leads firearms training for his department.
Paul Grossman brings real consequences experience: he's testified as a subject-matter expert in police and civilian shooting cases, trained active shooter response for schools and churches, and developed patrol rifle programs from the ground up. His P.O.S.T. certifications include Firearms Instructor (Handgun & Carbine), ALERRT Active Shooter Civilian Train-the-Trainer, Glock Armorer, and less-lethal expert credentials across 37/40mm launchers, impact munitions, and aerosol defense systems.
Concealed Carry Certification - Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) Course: 8 hours, $175. State law, legal use of deadly force, and live-fire qualification taught by active police instructors. - CHP Renewal: 3 hours, $125 (for permits within 6 months of expiration). - CHP Refresher: 2 hours, $120. Covers shooting mechanics before renewal qualification.
Handgun & Pistol Training - Handgun Intro 101: 3 hours, $150. Explores different handgun types and platforms hands-on before buying or committing to live-fire training. - Basic Pistol Course: 3 hours, $150. Carbine Training - Carbine Intro 101: Structured introduction to different carbine platforms and AR-15 function before advanced instruction. - Carbine Operator Course: Full tactical carbine instruction covering precision zeroing, shooting positions, malfunction handling, combat reloads, transitions, and engaging from cover.
Specialized & Professional Courses - Force on Force Training: Live-action scenarios using Glock 17-T pistols firing colored rounds against role players. Decision-making under pressure, law enforcement standard. - Active Shooter Training: ALERRT Level 1 instruction for corporate and school environments. Includes C.R.A.S.E. (Civilian Response Active Shooter Event) fundamentals. - School Safety Programs: Active Shooter Response, CPTED assessments (Paul is a National Certified CPTED Practitioner), Standard Response Protocol, and Threat Assessment Training. - Church Security Training: Proven active shooter prevention and response protocols. - Security Training & Merchant Guard License: Denver-authorized eligible training provider. Armed and unarmed merchant guard certification exceeding state requirements. - Kids Firearms Safety: Ages 7+. Small class sizes ensure personalized attention. All instruction emphasizes safety first—any major safety violation results in immediate removal with no refund. Safety rules are mandatory from arrival through completion. Weather cancellations result in either full refund or free transfer to the next available class.
Payment & Scheduling - Payment required within 24 hours of enrollment. - Rescheduling allowed up to 72 hours before course at no charge; within 72 hours incurs $25 fee (subject to availability). - Students can reschedule once without forfeiting payment. - No-shows forfeit all payments with no refund or credit. - Certificate reprints: $10 digital, $15 mailed.
