Rocky Mountain Hot Shots is a USA Archery-sanctioned Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) team based at Rocky Mountain Archery in Fort Collins. They serve archers ages 8-20 with both recreational and competitive programs.
Rocky Mountain Hot Shots consistently produces competitive archers. In 2024, team members Em and Avery Elder won Colorado outdoor state championships. Ryan Kim-Warren set a new U13 state record (468/600 in Olympic Recurve), and Avery Elder holds the state record for U15 recurve women's with a score of 610.
The team emphasizes range safety, proper shooting technique, focus, self-confidence, and team building. Age divisions run through calendar years: Bowmen (through age 12), Cadet (through 14), Youth (through 17), and Junior (through 20).
