Sprague Rod & Gun Club

Sprague Rod & Gun Club is a full-service shooting range and sportsmen's club located in Sprague, Connecticut, dedicated to firearm safety, marksmanship, and wildlife conservation. The club welcomes both members and the general public for a variety of shooting disciplines.

Sprague Rod & Gun Club operates multiple ranges to accommodate different shooting styles:

• •100-Yard Rifle Range - Outdoor facility with 50-yard and 100-yard distances for precision rifle shooting
• •Skeet Shooting Fields - Two dedicated fields for clay target shooting
• •Outdoor Pistol Range - Large outdoor facility for pistol practice and competitions
• •Indoor .22 Rimfire Range - Climate-controlled indoor range for precision .22 caliber shooting

The club hosts year-round competitive shooting matches open to the public, including:

• •Practical Shooting Matches - Held on 2nd and 4th Sundays monthly, plus select Thursday afternoons (spring/summer)
• •Bowling Pin Matches - First, third, and fifth Sundays year-round, featuring revolver and auto pistol classes
• •New London County Pistol League - 55-year-old .22 rimfire bullseye competition (September-March)
• •IDPA Matches - Thursday evening practical shooting events

Sprague Rod & Gun Club is currently accepting new members. Membership requires sponsorship by two existing members in good standing and attendance at an orientation session. Annual dues start at $85 plus a $25 land assessment fee. Discounted rates available for members 65+ with 10+ years membership, and life memberships for 30+ continuous years.

Many events are open to the general public with pre-registration. The club also features a clubhouse with a bar and event hall available to members.
