The Villages Archery Club

The Villages Archery Club operates Paradise Range as a hub for competitive and recreational archery in central Florida. What started as casual interest has grown into an active organization running sanctioned tournaments, structured leagues, and community fun shoots throughout the year.

• •NFAA Sanctioned Tournaments - 300-round, 600-round, and 900-round competitions at multiple yardages (20, 40, 50, 60 yards)

• •Training & Tuning Guides - Instructional resources for equipment setup and technique

Shooters compete across multiple styles: - Compound Release - Compound Fingers - Compound Barebow - Recurve - Recurve Barebow

Under leadership from President Rodney Burge, the club has made significant improvements to Paradise Range. They developed a custom target frame and anchoring system, secured cost savings on equipment through The Villages Recreation Department, and maintained the memorial facility honoring past club member Larry Boyd.

The club actively manages competitive balance through adjustments like mid-year yardage reversals at Paradise Range to even out target wear across lanes.

The club welcomes both Villages residents and non-residents. Tournament entry fees are minimal ($10 for non-residents on some events), and lunch is provided at major competitions. They maintain an active calendar with RSVP registration for each event, plus classified boards for equipment sales and trades among members.
