USA Crossbow Inc. operates the USA Crossbow Hall of Fame, the official recognition program for competitive target crossbow shooting in the United States. Established in 2002, the Hall of Fame honors shooters and innovators who have made significant contributions to the sport.

Members are inducted into one of two categories:

  • Crossbow Shooting – For exceptional competitors who maintained leading positions over many years through dedicated tournament participation and consistent results

The organization recognizes pioneers like:

Hardy Ward – Designer of the Ward crossbow stock, a trackless design that became the foundation for most modern trackless crossbow designs after the Gurik crossbow

Henry Lloyd "Harry" Bailey – Patent holder for the Bailey Crossbow (1950); designed the first center-shot crossbows specifically for post-WWII veterans

George Gurik – Mid-1960s innovator whose true center-shot crossbow designs proved remarkably accurate and led others to pursue continuous improvements

Robert "Big Bob" Kaufhold – Founder of Kaufhold Machine; manufactured limb mounts, triggers, and limbs that hold all current outdoor world records

Odrun Stevens – Mentor to Pennsylvania crossbow shooters; founder of Appleway Archers (1984); developer of Version III crossbow with unique vertical adjustment system

Stan Pennypacker – 70+ years in archery; first to design adjustable track crossbows for different shaft diameters; 1990 IBO World Champion; held Pennsylvania State record for 25 years

William G Pimm Jr – President of USA Crossbow Inc. since 1995; 11-time US National Outdoor Champion; organized 2007 WCSA World Championships and 2015 International Crossbow Festival in Fort Lauderdale, FL

USA Crossbow members can nominate candidates throughout the year. Elections occur during the annual meeting at the Outdoor Nationals. Nominators must submit a biography detailing the candidate's accomplishments and be prepared to present a brief case at the annual meeting.
