Lewman Arms Manufacturing is a family-owned shop in Winter Haven, FL that combines retail firearms sales with professional gunsmithing, custom builds, an indoor range, and firearms training. They've built a reputation for serious metalwork and precision builds that go way beyond standard gun shop services.

MG42/M53 Builds are their signature service. They build both semi-auto and full-auto variants starting at $3,250, with a lifetime warranty on every build. All MG42 work is finished in Cerakote—no bluing. They stock welding jigs ($1,200) and 8mm barrels ($450) in-house. Their M53 builds run $9,000.

"We build only on kits that contain all of the original receiver pieces." Semi-auto builds require BRP bolts; full-auto builds follow all NFA regulations.

They handle bore sighting, sight installation, trigger work, headspace checking, and all standard gunsmith labor. Minimum charge is $75 per gun.

Their Basic Pistol Course is NRA-guided and typically completed in one day. It covers:

Classroom Portion: - Handgun mechanics and parts (revolvers and semi-automatics) - Proper loading, unloading, storage, and cleaning - Sight alignment and sight picture fundamentals - Malfunction and misfire procedures - Written exam (85% passing required)

Range Portion (Live-Fire): - Basic weapon manipulation - Hand placement and grip - Sight picture and breath control - Trigger control and accuracy drills - Malfunction response under stress

Students shoot Glock 44 (.22LR) or bring their own unloaded handgun. Ammunition, eye/ear protection, and targets provided. Pass qualification requires 80% accuracy at 9-inch target diameter—certificate qualifies for concealed weapons permits.
