Defensive Specialties, LLC operates as Georgia's resource for firearms classes, security training, and preparedness instruction. Their calendar-based approach means most classes aren't listed online—you contact them directly to schedule what you need.

Defensive Specialties maintains detailed information about area shooting facilities to help shooters find the right range:
Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center — 6,400 acres near Mansfield with two pistol/rifle ranges, shotgun facilities, and a 3-D archery range. Hosts the annual Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) program.
Cherokee Gun Club — 115 acres near Gainesville. Private membership facility hosting IDPA, metallic silhouette, tactical rifle, and clay competitions. Open events welcome non-member participation.
South River Gun Club — Public clay target facility (trap/skeet Wed 2-8P, Sat/Sun 10A-6P). 11 trap fields, 5 skeet fields, 25/50-yard bullseye range, and 25-300 yard rifle ranges. $8/round for non-members. Hosts state-level competitions including the Georgia State Trapshoot (20-year running event).
Etowah Valley Sporting Clays — Full-service clay operation since 2004 in the Appalachian foothills north of Highway 400. Courses for beginners and veterans.
River Bend Gun Club — Members-only facility in southwest Dawson County offering pistol, rifle, and shotgun disciplines.
