Garage Guys Gunsmithing and Engraving operates from a home-based shop run by Terry Tanner, a former Marine and retired law enforcement officer. Terry graduated from Modern Gun School and brings hands-on experience as a former competitive pistol shooter. His son Nicholas "Nick" Tanner works alongside him, handling laser engraving and building skills as a competitive clay target shooter. Together they deliver gunsmithing and custom work with direct oversight and quality control.
General Repairs & Maintenance - Diagnostic and mechanical repairs: $80/hr (includes cleaning) - Machine labor: $100/hr - Cosmoline removal: $200
Customization & Upgrades - Ruger 10/22 and AR-15 builds and upgrades - Barrel threading for muzzle devices or suppressors - Aftermarket component installation - Custom stocks and grips - Trigger jobs (smoothing or reducing pull weight)
Restoration & Performance - Full restoration of older or damaged firearms - Metal and wood refinishing - Long-range accuracy tuning and scope mounting - Firearm assembly from parts or kits
