Students progress from lecture and dry-fire drills under certified instruction before moving to live fire to reinforce skills.
The training philosophy covers: - Four Firearm Safety Rules and shooting fundamentals - Drawing from holster and getting on target instinctively - Combat and tactical reloading - Malfunction recognition and correction (Type 1, 2, 3) - Strong hand and support hand only shooting - Shooting from cover and at moving targets - Shot placement and failure drills - Situational awareness and defensive mindset
Successful course completion with demonstrated safe gun handling earns a $25 voucher toward future classes.
Most courses require: - One serviceable handgun (or appropriate firearm for course type) - 3+ magazines or speed loaders - Strong-side quality holster (no cross-draw or shoulder holsters) - 200 rounds of new manufactured ammunition - Eye and ear protection - Weather-appropriate range attire - Knee/elbow pads (recommended) - Camping chair and plenty of fluids
Advanced courses have additional prerequisites—call to confirm eligibility before registering.
"To properly instruct men and women how to safely use a firearm and to support our 2nd Amendment Rights."
