Full description and what we offer
Full Draw Adventures Outfitters was established to give non-resident hunters access to trophy whitetail hunting in Iowa with the kind of professional land management and personal attention that out-of-state operations rarely deliver. Owner Steve Kennedy grew up hunting across California, Colorado, Utah, and Idaho before discovering the giant whitetails of southwest Iowa—and his passion for helping others tag their own.
The operation spans nearly 2,500 acres of private, well-managed property in Zone 4 near Afton, Iowa. Everything is designed around putting hunters on mature bucks:
"I am a lifetime hunter and can recognize when I'm in the hands of someone who knows exactly what they're doing." — Jim B., returning client

Iowa requires non-residents to budget for licenses and fees before booking:
Zone 4 is the premium whitetail zone in Iowa. Full Draw operates here exclusively—this is where the biggest bucks live.
Steve Kennedy — Founder and lead guide. 5+ years guiding Iowa hunts with experience across multiple western states. Specializes in whitetail management and consistently puts hunters on trophy-class deer.
Ty — Accomplished bowhunter with land management expertise. Passionate about growing the largest possible deer and helping clients succeed.
Full Draw enforces a strict 130-inch minimum buck score. Any deer harvested below this threshold incurs a $1,000 penalty—no exceptions. This isn't arbitrary: it reflects their commitment to quality over volume and protects the herd. They'd rather you leave empty-handed than compromise on standards.
"They maintain a focused commitment to ensuring every hunter has the best chance of being put on a prize buck, rather than simply filling seats and overpressuring the property." — Marty Dehoog, client
Full Draw doesn't maximize bookings—they maximize success. Property management, stand placement, food plot maintenance, and guide expertise are where the difference shows. They publish detailed hunting guides on their blog covering scouting prep, Iowa straight-wall cartridge regulations, predator management, and field-to-table recipes.
