Brad Gannaway started Hunt Pro Outfitters in 2005 after years running Ducks and Decoys Guide Service. He's not the type of outfitter who just books hunts and disappears—Brad guides his own hunts, personally manages the properties, and treats clients like family. He's a competitive duck caller (3rd place, Ducks Unlimited Southwest Missouri 2005), former DU area chairman, and hosted the TV show "Lodge Life" on the Pursuit Channel.
- •Rifle: 5 days, $3,500 per person (one state, one buck)
- •Archery: 5 days, $3,000 per person (one state, one buck)
- •Muzzleloader: 5 days, $3,000 per person (one state, one buck)
All deer packages include 5 full days hunting, personal guide, lodge and meals, plus transportation to/from your stand. Duck hunting is included in all packages.
- •Minimum buck score: 125 points (enforced with a $1,000 penalty—$2,000 if violated on your last day).
Duck and goose hunts from pit blinds in flooded corn fields. Clients regularly see 50-100 ducks working decoy spreads throughout the day. Brad runs 16 pit lease groups annually during November with 2-3 day hunts.
Limited turkey season spots (typically 3 available yearly, $100 deposit to book).

All hunting is on private land only—no public ground, no high fences. Fair chase only.
Gray's Lodge at 110 Ash Road, Rulo, Nebraska sleeps up to 28-30 guests. Recent additions include: - Workout room - Large shower facilities - Wood-burning stove - Dart board and shed displays - Home-cooked meals prepared on-site - Mud room with temperature control (for pit lease dogs)
- •Check-in: 4 PM to 7 PM on arrival date. Kansas City International Airport is 90 miles away.
Pro Outfitters enforces strict rules to maximize mature buck harvest. These aren't suggestions.
- •Safety & Behavior:
- •Safety vest or harness required when hunting from stands
- •Scent-free protocol mandatory (daily showers, scent-elimination products)
- •No alcohol in hunting area
- •No smoking or chewing tobacco
- •No stalking or driving deer
- •No feeding (grain, salt blocks, mineral blocks)
- •Gun harness required for rifle/muzzleloader fall protection
What to Bring (rifle hunters): Waterproof boots, wool socks, hunter orange vest and hat, thermal underwear, hand warmers, binoculars, rangefinder, cooler for meat, rifle and ammo. Many clients bring Scent-Lok clothing, cameras, and pee bottles.
What to Bring (archery hunters): Waterproof boots, camouflaged clothing and gear (gloves, face mask, raingear), arrows with broadheads and field points, arrow release, bow hanger, binoculars, rangefinder, cooler for meat.
- •License Requirements:
- •Missouri: Purchase online or over-counter anytime
- •Kansas: Deer tags require April 1st application; other tags available anytime
- •Nebraska: Available online or over-counter
- •All nonresidents need hunter education certificate (if born after Jan. 1, 1967)
- •Deposit: $1,000 per hunt (nonrefundable, due within 10 days of booking)
- •Balance: Due by October 1st
- •Tips: Not included; 10% of hunt cost is standard for guides. Cook tips appreciated.

- •Deer hunts are semi-guided: a guide walks you to and from your stand, but you hunt independently. Waterfowl, turkey, and other hunts are fully guided.
Brad runs pro staff positions for SKRE, Browning, Rogue Bowstrings, Relentless Boats, Dryshod, Spypoint, and Fit to Hunt. He teaches hunting seminars at Bass Pro and outdoor events across the Midwest during off-season.
