Butterfield Gulch Gang is a Single Action Shooting Society (SASS) affiliated club dedicated to the thrilling sport of Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS). Located south of Chapman, Kansas, this tight-knit community celebrates Old West history, competitive shooting, and authentic period costumes in a meticulously crafted Wild West setting.

Butterfield Gulch Gang provides an immersive CAS experience featuring:

•Monthly matches held on the 1st Sunday and 3rd Saturday of each month
•Annual signature event: Siege at Clark's Station / MAT Memorial / Kansas State Championship
•Beginner safety instruction for new shooters and club members
•Firearms trading post featuring guns, ammunition, and shooting accessories
•Meticulously recreated Old West setting with dusty streets and rustic buildings

At Butterfield Gulch Gang, you'll experience:

•Single action revolver shooting
•Rifle and shotgun competitions
•Black powder and smokeless powder firearms
•Competitive and recreational CAS matches

Beyond the shooting itself, Butterfield Gulch Gang celebrates character and creativity. Members cultivate authentic personas—from lawmen and outlaws to saloon girls and town folk—adding depth to the Old West experience. The club welcomes shooters of all skill levels, from competitive enthusiasts to casual participants, and actively encourages young, responsible shooters.

From I-70, take Exit 286 and head south through Chapman to 2200 Road. Turn east for one mile, then north on Sage Road for approximately 1/8 mile to the gate on your left. The gate is typically unlocked; please close it behind you after entering.
