Red River Range is Shreveport's dedicated firearms training facility with the distinction of operating Louisiana's only 100-yard indoor rifle range. The facility sits at 8450 River Range Rd and features 16 pistol lanes, a fully programmable target system, and state-of-the-art climate control delivering 100% fresh air for shooter comfort.
Online lane reservations available. Hours: Tues–Thurs 10am–7pm, Fri–Sat 10am–8pm, Sun 1pm–6pm (closed Mondays)
- •Precision Rifle Basic (4 hours: 2 classroom, 2 range)
- •Teaches safety, rifle selection, ammo selection, basic zero
- •Range estimation, MOA, Milling, and MRAD introduction
- •Use of spotting scopes, laser rangefinders, and ballistics software
- •Designed to gain confidence shooting out to 500 yards
- •Youth Rifle Course (.22LR Rimfire) (2 hours: 1 classroom, 1 range)
- •Age 10 and up
- •Focuses on proper handling, storage, use, and range safety
- •Students learn rifle shooting fundamentals and accuracy
- •Includes 50 rounds of ammunition; .22LR rifles available for rent
