The Louisiana Shooting Association (LSA) is a tax-exempt 501(c)(4) nonprofit that serves as the central hub for competitive shooting and hunting sports across Louisiana. Founded in 1966, LSA has spent nearly 60 years building the infrastructure that keeps shooting sports alive in the state.
LSA functions as the organizational backbone for Louisiana's shooting community. The organization provides affiliated clubs with: - Competition sponsorship and sanctioning - Match direction and event coordination - Instruction and training resources - Administrative support across all shooting disciplines
LSA sanctions and coordinates Louisiana's premier competitive shooting events. Their 2024 Louisiana High Power Rifle State Championship brought together 30 competitors from across the Gulf Coast region, with participants traveling from Michigan, Virginia, and Texas to compete. The championship included:

The championship rotates through affiliated clubs. Recent host: Palo Alto Rifle and Pistol Club.
