Full description and what we offer
TNT Concealed Carry exists because Louisiana requires 9 hours of actual training to apply for a concealed carry permit—and they won't cut corners. They're explicit about it: online classes and anything less than the full 9 hours won't get your application approved by Louisiana State Police. That rejection letter costs you nothing but time and frustration.
Their basic concealed carry course runs 8 AM to 5:30 PM and covers everything the state mandates:
The material draws from NRA's First Steps Pistol Program, Louisiana's official requirements, and P.O.S.T. law enforcement training standards.
Instructors are all P.O.S.T. certified law enforcement agents and NRA-certified pistol instructors. They teach in a casual but professional classroom setting, then move to the private shooting range for live fire. The class works for everyone—military and police veterans sitting next to first-time shooters and homeowners who've never fired before.
After you complete the course, TNT issues your certificate. You submit that to Louisiana State Police along with a notarized application, fingerprints, and the $125 state fee. Processing takes a few weeks. Your resulting CCW permit works in Louisiana AND 41 other states with reciprocity agreements.
Beyond the permit requirement, TNT offers advanced tactical training ($110 per person) that covers:
These classes qualify as the additional training some institutions (places of worship, schools) require to carry concealed on their property.
They also run USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals Instructor Courses for people who want to teach. You need working firearms knowledge to participate.

If your DD-214 shows small arms training within the last 60 months, you may skip the course—but understand that military law and civilian CCW law are completely different. You're responsible for knowing civil law. Contact Louisiana State Police Concealed Carry Division (225-925-4867) for details. Anything other than an honorable discharge will likely get your permit denied.
The course runs in rain. If weather is too severe for safe live fire, they reschedule the range portion for another day.
