GunBasics teaches the courses you need to get licensed in Maryland—without the intimidation or corporate BS. Run by a combat veteran and state-certified instructor, the focus is on safety, clarity, and building actual confidence around firearms.
Maryland Handgun Permit (Concealed Carry) - 16 hours over 2 consecutive days (or flexible scheduling available) - Covers concealed carry basics, legal considerations, responsible handling, and live fire qualification - $340 includes NRA handbooks, safety card, firearm rental, 50 rounds, eye/ear protection, and range fee - Classes June 7-8 and June 28-29, 2025
Handgun Qualification License (HQL) - 4-hour classroom and live fire course - Subset of the full permit course for those who don't need carry rights - $150 includes same materials and range time - Same dates, morning sessions only

Certified Maryland State Police Qualified Handgun Instructor and NRA Pistol Instructor
Deposits due June 4 (June 7 class) or June 25 (June 28 class). Payment via Zelle, ApplePay, CashApp ($HerbAddy), or cash. Credit cards available with 3% fee.
