I.C.E. Firearms & Defensive Training started in 2016 with a straightforward mission: deliver safety-first firearms instruction across the Mid-Atlantic region. They're based in Mount Airy, Maryland, and operate with a core belief that responsible gun ownership requires proper training, period.

This isn't a franchise operation with rotating instructors. I.C.E. has a roster of dedicated, credentialed professionals:

Ron David - Owner and NRA-certified instructor in all disciplines (6+ years). 22-year Navy Medical Service Corps retiree. Competitive shooter in USPSA and IDPA matches. Long-range and extreme long-range shooting specialist.

Shawn Tyler - Army veteran, retired police officer, SWAT operator, sniper. F.B.I. Firearms Instructor School graduate. World Police and Fire Champion. Multiple Medal of Valor recipient.

Nancy David - NRA-certified handgun, shotgun, rifle instructor and RSO. Built her instruction practice specifically to reach and support women shooters.

Tina - Maryland State Qualified Handgun Instructor. USCCA Certified Concealed Carry & Home Defense Instructor. NRA Range Safety Officer. Stop the Bleed Instructor. First aid and CPR/AED certified.

Yien - Maryland-qualified handgun instructor and NRA-certified. Teaches NRA basic and advanced courses. Offers classes in English and Mandarin for minority and immigrant shooters.

JD - Small Arms Instructor from Naval Academy. Competitive trap and skeet shooter since 2010. Former Washington College Varsity Trap and Skeet Coach. NRA-certified in CCW, Pistol, Defensive Pistol, Shotgun, and Protection In/Outside The Home.

Plus: Ramesh (hunter, long-range specialist), Jeff (40+ years shooting, Boy Scouts merit badge counselor), Lysa Helene (owner of Trigger Warning Defense, self-defense and victim support focus), Robert (law enforcement and armed security background), Jeremiah (gunsmithing degree, competitive marksman, 10+ years CMP rifle competition), John (personal protection planning focus), Ricky (competitive and law enforcement training background), and others.
