Riverside Gun Club operates in the wooded New England countryside near Hudson, Massachusetts, offering archery, rifle, pistol, and shotgun sports with dedicated facilities for each discipline. The club was established to advance forest and fish restoration, promote hunting and fishing safety, and develop proficiency in sporting firearms and archery.

Riverside runs year-round archery from ages 8 to 80+. The club is a USA Archery and State Archery Association of Massachusetts member, supporting both adult and youth tournament teams competing regionally and nationally.

Indoor Archery Range - 18-meter range with 12 lanes (10 World Archery compliant for tournaments) - Open during clubhouse hours

Outdoor Archery - 70-meter World Archery compliant hunter range - National Field Archery Association (NFAA) approved 14-target course - Open dawn to dusk

Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) Youth program (ages 8–20) running year-round. Beginners complete the Explore Archery course before advancing. Indoor training September–April, outdoor May–August. Requires Riverside and USA Archery membership. Contact [email protected] for session openings.

Members access three independent outdoor ranges plus an eight-lane indoor facility.

Outdoor Ranges - 25-yard range - 50-yard range - 100-yard range

Indoor Facilities - 50-foot range with 8 lanes - Dedicated air pistol range

Junior Rifle & Air Pistol Program Friday nights, 6:30 PM–9:00 PM, October–March (19 weeks). Ages 10–18. NRA rank advancements through prone, sitting, kneeling, and standing positions. Limited to 40 students with preference for returning shooters. Competition air pistol instruction included. Local Maspenock League matches December–March (4 indoor matches).

Organized Competitions - Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) events - High Power events (100-yard range typically closed 8 AM–2 PM during events) - Riverside Handgun League participation

Three fully equipped shotgun fields with remotely controlled automatic trap throwers. The club is a "green" facility—biodegradable targets only, steel shot mandatory. Lead shot is strictly forbidden.

Field Configuration - Upper Field: Skeet & 5-Stand (lighted) - Middle Field: Skeet & Trap (lighted) - Lower Field: Trap

Recent Upgrades: Completed 5-stand expansion with 3 additional machines and a tower (10 total machines). Both skeet fields resurfaced. Wireless controls installed on all three fields.

Regular Shoots - Tuesday Nights: 7:00 PM–9:30 PM - Thursday Nights: 7:00 PM–9:30 PM - Sunday Mornings: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM - Full shoots (trap, skeet, 5-stand) scheduled monthly

New Shooters NRA Certified Instructors provide free instruction. Loaner guns available for first-time shooters. Email Frank Harrington ([email protected]) to schedule an appointment.

Corporate & Event Hosting Available for birthday parties, bachelor events, and corporate outings. NRA Certified Instructors provide safety classes and full supervision. Club supplies firearms and equipment. Contact Frank Harrington to book.

Membership Dues (effective June 1, 2023) - New members: $235 fee + $100 initiation fee - Existing members: $235 annually - Late fee: $25 (charged after 30-day grace period)

Key cards control range and clubhouse access. New members must attend a General Meeting (typically 3rd Monday of even months at 7 PM) to receive membership card, keycard, and orientation. Junior membership badges picked up at clubhouse.
