Negaunee Rod and Gun Club operates a multi-discipline shooting facility in Negaunee, Michigan, serving serious shooters and beginners alike. The club maintains dedicated ranges for rifle, shotgun, and pistol disciplines with an active event calendar running year-round.
Rifle Programs - 22LR ARA Matches: American Rimfire Association competitions year-round in Factory and Unlimited classes. Club offers 3-card matches and 6-card tournaments following official ARA rules. - 22LR Benchrest: April through October, dedicated benchrest matches for rimfire precision shooting - F-Class Matches: 60-round matches with 3 relays, registration at 8:30 AM, safety briefing at 9:00 AM, match start at 9:15 AM. Includes unlimited sighters on Relay 1, limited sighters on Relays 2 and 3 - Superior Rifleman: Long-range rifle club meeting Tuesdays at 5:30 PM. Shoot centerfire rifles—hunting rifles, modern sporting rifles, military surplus, or custom precision rifles—on bench, prone, kneeling, or standing - F-Class Dave Wiik Challenge: Far-end rifle range shooting with hunting or precision rifles welcome - CMP EIC Match & CMP Modern Military Match: Long-range competition and rapid/slow fire military rifle matches at 200 yards - Military Rifle Benchrest: Bring military rifles for benchrest competition - Suomi Shoot: Annual winter bolt-action and straight-pull military surplus match - Firecracker 300: Pistol match with distance stages (7, 15, 20 yards), timed courses, revolver/semi-auto/optics/concealed carry/team divisions
Shotgun Programs - MID-UP Shooters: Shotgun club with separate membership. Winter schedule (December-April, Saturdays, weather permitting) and summer schedule (May-October, Wednesdays trap/skeet/wobbler, Thursdays sporting clays starting 4 PM) - Registered Skeet Shoots: Full-day events (9 AM - 4 PM) - Yooper SxS Classic: Annual multi-day side-by-side shooting competition - Trap, Skeet & Wobbler Shooting: Regular weekly sessions - Sporting Clays: Thursday shooting in summer months
Pistol Programs - Bullseye Pistol: Monday nights at 5:00 PM. Bring your favorite pistol or revolver and plenty of ammo. Contact Bob Napel for details - Pistol Steel Match: August events (9 AM - 1 PM) - 22LR Steel Challenge: 3-stage format (expandable) with semi-auto pistol and rifle divisions, open sights and optics categories. 5 relays per stage, best 4 count for score

All Negaunee Rod and Gun Club members can participate in shotgun events up to twice before joining MID-UP Shooters (nominal membership fee).
