Ottawa Lake Sportsmen Club

Ottawa Lake Sportsmen Club is a member-driven organization dedicated to promoting target shooting, hunting, and archery. Located north of Sylvania on old U.S. 223, the club has been serving the shooting sports community with two trap houses, a rifle range, and archery facilities.

Two trap houses with ranges from 16 to 27 yards. Open trap shooting available:

Seasons and leagues: - Winter League: Tuesdays 5:00 PM, January-April ($15/round) - Spring Doubles: Tuesdays 6:00 PM, April-May - Fall League: Tuesdays 6:00 PM, September-October - Meat Shoot: Competitive events with gun raffles - Travel League: Schedule posted for members

Shells available: 20-gauge and 12-gauge boxes ($10.00)

Rifle range open to members 9 AM to 30 minutes after sunset. Shooting benches and yardage markers established. No charge for members; guests welcome when accompanied by a member. Fully automatic weapons and rapid-fire prohibited.

Archery on Monday and Wednesday nights.

"The club is home to the Blissfield Royals' High School trap team and is dedicated to educating youth in target shooting, hunting, and archery."

Membership Requirements: - Sponsorship by active member - $50 initiation fee + $50 annual dues - 25 volunteer hours annually - 7 meetings per year (second Thursday of month)

Community Events: - Monthly Fish Fries (bi-weekly January-April, $15 all-you-can-eat Alaska Pollock) - Additional menu items: chicken fingers, shrimp, burgers - Smelt dinners and member special events
