Full description and what we offer
Founded in 1968, Morristown Gun Club is a public clay target trap shooting club located behind Ahlman's Gun Shop in Morristown, Minnesota. The club is run entirely by volunteers and does not rent firearms, though some members are willing to let newcomers try theirs and offer one-on-one instruction to new wing shooters.
Shooters can compete in Straight Trap, Wobble Trap, and Skeet Trap games. The club supports a High School Trap Team, a Firearm Safety Education program, and a youth league open to shooters in grades 6 through 12 that runs a single 5-stand trap format, dropping each shooter's two lowest scores.
Each August, the club holds the John Metzke Memorial Shoot in honor of a longtime club member; the top adult and youth scorers have their names added to a memorial plaque displayed in the clubhouse.
