Monticello Rod and Gun Club is a well-established private shooting facility serving the Monticello, Minnesota community since 1918. Located at 1821 West River Street, the club welcomes both members and the general public for various shooting activities and events.

The club maintains several specialized ranges to accommodate different shooting disciplines:

  • Pistol and Rifle Ranges: Two spacious ranges (A and B) accommodating distances from 0 to 50 yards with excellent backdrops for paper and non-deflective targets
  • 100-Yard Rifle Range: Dedicated long-range facility for rifle shooting and sight-in services
  • Trap Fields: Two public trap shooting fields hosting organized leagues and practice sessions
  • Archery Range: Dedicated archery-only facility for bow hunters and sport shooters
  • For Members: Year-round access to all ranges during posted hours (10 am to sunset daily)

Monticello Rod and Gun Club is a private facility, but actively welcomes the public to participate in specific events and leagues. Members receive full access to all ranges and facilities, while non-members can enjoy public trap leagues and seasonal training programs. Monthly members meetings are held the fourth Thursday of each month at 7 pm, with social shooting events preceding meetings from May through October.

The club emphasizes community engagement and outdoor tradition, hosting themed shooting nights including Cowboy Night, Military Gun Night, Veteran's Night, and hunting/fishing swap meets. All members are required to sign in with guest names (limit 2 guests per member) and secure the gate entrance.
