South Saint Paul Rod & Gun Club operates 600 Gun Club Road with dedicated ranges for shotgun, rifle, and pistol shooting. The facility hosts both casual shooters and serious competitors.
- •Shotgun: Trap, skeet, and sporting clays courses
- •Rifle/Pistol: Dedicated ranges with seasonal hours
- •Sporting Clays: Registered NSCA tournaments throughout the year
All ammunition purchases must be made at least 30 minutes before range closing time.
The club runs regular classes:
- •Permit to Carry & Renewal – Minnesota certification; also awards Arizona and Florida certifications
- •Introduction to Handguns – 2.5-hour safety and fundamentals class, typically first Saturday of each month
- •Introduction to Shotguns – Beginner shotgun course
- •Drawing from a Holster – Generally held third Saturday of each month, limited to 10 students
- •Private Rifle/Handgun Training – Available by arrangement
Active competitive shooting year-round:
- •Trap leagues with published scoreboards and payouts
- •Registered FITASC tournaments (February, and others throughout the year)
- •Sporting clays competitions
- •Fun shoots with optional Lewis Class entries
- •Valentine's Day and Holiday shoots
On-site dining with a full menu. Open during range hours.
