Location details and information
Wild Marsh Sporting Clays opened in 1989 and has grown into a comprehensive shooting facility. The club operates on 110 acres of wooded terrain among Norway pines and oak forest, offering multiple disciplines under one location.
- •Sporting Clays - Four walk-through courses with 8 stations each (16-24 stations total). Each station presents different clay types and trajectories to simulate hunting scenarios. The courses range from beginner-friendly to competitive difficulty.
- •Rifle & Pistol Ranges - Five separate range distances, all with covered shelters:
- •12-yard pistol range
- •25-40 yard bore sight range (rifle/handgun)
- •50-yard .22 rifle range
- •100-yard high-powered rifle range
- •Fully automatic firearms approved up to .50 caliber
- •Trap & FITASC - Single trap field with 25-target format. FITASC (new in 2025) offers a different clay target game from the trap field.
- •5-Stand - Five different shooting stations, each with distinct target presentations from a menu card. Includes singles, report pairs, and true pairs.
The 500 Target League runs spring through summer. Teams of 5-8 shooters or buddy pairs (2 shooters) compete over 10 rounds with discounted clay fees. League members earn individual awards, team trophies, and participate in prize drawings and an end-of-season fun shoot.
Three registered target shoots per year: Wild Rice Tournament (April), Wild Marsh Cup (July), and Octoberfest Tournament (October)
- •Makeup rounds are available if you miss a scheduled league round—a 3-bird penalty applies, but your score still counts for team totals and prize eligibility (just not trophy awards).
Memberships available for individuals, couples, and corporations. The facility offers seasonal membership options for discounted range fees.
- •Kids & Clays runs April-June (grades 5-12, max 25 kids). Coaches provided. Includes instruction, competition rounds, and an end-of-season party with awards. Parents encouraged to attend.
- •Private Events - Large indoor picnic shelter, grills, and picnic tables available for fundraisers, corporate events, and group shoots in a wooded rustic setting.
Certified instructors available for individual and small group lessons. Instruction tailored to beginner or advanced shooters.
Kids under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 10 not allowed on rifle/pistol ranges. Stop shooting 15 minutes before closing to allow cleanup and target return.
- •Range Rules - Only paid customers in shooting areas. Buckshot, rapid fire, and fully automatic firearms approved. You clean your area.
