The Sporting Club at Mallard's Croft operates a working duck hunting preserve and sporting clay course deep in rural Mississippi. Every May they release over 6,000 North American Mallards near their blinds, backed by carefully maintained crops and grasses to keep birds on the property through the season.
Hunts run Tuesday and Saturday mornings from October 1 through March 30. Standard packages include four birds per hunter; additional birds cost $45 each. No more than 25 hunters participate in each hunt across the seven available blinds.
Drive-in hunts start at $350 per hunter—arrive an hour before sunrise with your shells and gear. Overnight hunts run $550 per hunter and include lodging (bunkhouse, cabin, or farmhouse), a 7 pm dinner, and checkout at 11 am. Additional hunt times at 9 am and 1 pm require a minimum of eight hunters.
The current record stands at 326 ducks harvested in a single hunt. Groups attempting record breaks get permanent Wall of Fame recognition, a custom plaque, and photos—with 48 hours' notice required.
The 15-station course winds through natural terrain with dramatic elevation changes, ravines, and thickets. Designer Heyward Cunningham built it to challenge serious shooters and welcome novices. Watch for unpredictable bird flushes and the featured rabbit patch.

They host corporate retreats, small weddings, team bonding clay shoots, and overnight getaways for up to 25 guests. Packages include boardroom access, fireplace gatherings, pool games, and morning or evening meals.

What to Bring: Valid hunting license (required for 16+), appropriate ammunition (no lead), waders/hip boots, retriever, small cooler, and overnight gear for multi-day hunts. Guns available for rent.
